To uncover authentic insights, we combined both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative phase involved a nationwide survey of 781 young adults. The sample was carefully weighted by gender, age, and socioeconomic background to reflect the diversity of young people across the Republic of Ireland.
To bring the data to life, we complemented the numbers with ethnographic research. Over seven days, 21 participants shared their everyday experiences through a mobile diary app - recording selfie videos that offered a raw, first-hand look into their lives.
Together, these approaches created a rich and balanced picture of what it means to be young in Ireland today.
